“A Worker’s Paradise” by Birmingham History Theatre Company

This year marks the Bi-centenary of  the first Cadbury’s shop in Bull St, Birmingham in 1824. Birmingham History Theatre Company uses this occasion to explore and celebrate the Cadbury story, through the  eyes of four generations of a Birmingham family who all worked for them.

This year is the Bi-centenary of the first Cadbury’s shop in Bull St, Birmingham in 1824.

Birmingham History Theatre Company uses this occasion to explore and celebrate the Cadbury story, through the  eyes of four generations of a Birmingham family who all worked for them. The framework is provided by Amy, who at age 75 is packing up her home and going to live with her daughter 

The play also includes songs.  Some are contemporary, e.g a Temperance song from 1850. Some  have been written specially by Peter Churchill, renowned community musician, who will accompany us  for the performance .

The show also include two short filmed pieces.
