Jersey Boys UK tour 2026.
Celebrating over twenty years since its debut, the Tony and Olivier award winning Jersey Boys shows no sign of slowing down. The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons was and still is a smash hit.
More of a docu-play than a musical it charts the rise and rise of the iconic American quartet. The story is separated into the four actual seasons (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) and narrated by the four “seasons”. The story behind the group is really interesting and includes relationships, money issues, felony, and even involvement with the mob.
There is a lot of narrative in the piece so a lot of songs are excerpts rather than full numbers, but then we get “Sherry” and the music really picks up pace. The hits are endless: “Walk Like a Man”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Working My Way Back To You”, “Beggin”, and the wonderful “Oh What A Night’ to name but a few. The highlight was probably the show-stopping “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ which was clearly a crowd favourite. You forget just how many hits they had.
The whole cast are wonderful (many multi-roling, and most also playing instruments) but the seasons themselves are fantastic. Luke Baker as Frankie Valli has an amazing voice with an unbelievable falsetto – which was of course what made Valli unique.
It’s easy to see why this show is so popular two decades on. It’s wonderfully nostalgic, filled with classic songs from the 60’s and 70’s that you’ll be singing all the way home.
Go on – treat yourself.
Five stars. Oh what a night!
