“We Are The Children” is a cultural music, dance and drama performance in which the children sing and demonstrate traditional values of aspiration, family values and fun for wellbeing looked at from the African context but relating to universal culture and values that apply to all and any community.
Blending music and dance to incorporate vigorous African and modern styles and rhythm with lots of fun, and brightly coloured costumes, these “Our Roots” children perform their music and dance for a special show at the Library of Birmingham for this year’s Birmingham Fest.
This performance is free, however, spaces are limited and tickets must be booked here.
Our Roots Recreation entertainment and Leisure (REAL) engages people in health and community development through music, dance, drama and entertainment.
They can be found online here.
