From the team who brought you the Award Winning “A Matter of Law”, “For Those We Leave Behind” tackles the often sensitive subject of cancer.
Two women, Rose and Janet, meet on a chemotherapy ward and instantly connect to each other. The piece follows their roller-coaster journey and observes the effects cancer has on not only them but on their family as well.
In the same vein as “The Vagina Monologues”, “For Those We Leave Behind” dares to tackle an undiscussed issues, and in some ways dares to laugh at cancer and encourages the audience to do the same.
Together we will laugh, cry and get angry about the injustice of cancer – but realise that despite the tragedy, there is also hope.
This is a full length piece (including interval).
