“The Memoirs of Modger Morrish” is a fantasy romp through a young Brummie girls growing years during 1920 to 1940.
Mabel Truth Morrish (Modger) was born on 10th December 1919 at 72 Bishopsgate Street Birmingham and was a force to be reckoned with…or so she thought! Growing up the youngest and being a girl with five older brothers could be a nightmare at times, having to clean all of her brothers shoes and iron their shirts before school, having to go up town to collect medicinal leeches to apply to their cauliflower ears….Modger was the nickname given to her by her brothers because of her inquisitive nature. She always played the fool and decided at an early age that life was best lived for laughs, even though that philosophy got her into loads of scrapes!
Presented by the double act ‘Meftah and Swan’.
Debra Meftah is ‘Modger’.
Karen Swan plays all the characters that Modger meets.
Karen and Debra live in the West Midlands.
