“The Hideout” by Haste Theatre

The 1920s meets Theseus and the Minotaur. With a heady mixture of clown, live jazz and dance, ‘The Hideout’ is an award-winning collision of Greek mythology and the Kit Kat club. Fantastical, inventive, and funny. A must-see.

The Hideout

It’s the 1920’s and the gods of ancient Greece spend their nights in Aphrodites’ boudoir, looking for entertainment by playing with the lives of the little people below.

Have they bitten off more than they can chew as they attempt to meddle with the headstrong Ariadne, the courageous Theseus and the small matter of a Minotaur that needs defeating? Through a heady mixture of clowning, gypsy jazz and dance, The Hideout is an award-winning, riotous collision of Greek mythology and the Kit Kat club.

‘Can the story of Theseus and the Minotaur be presented as a raunchy, fast-moving cabaret? Haste Theatre has done just that. Unmissable.’ Michael Glover, Arts Critic for The Independent
