“UK plc” is a guided tour in music of the strange and shadowy world of outsourcing and globalisation, where elected governments are largely redundant. Find out the connections between banknotes, prisons and rock stars – and much more.
Described as ‘parlour songs with a bite’, mixed with zany free improvisation and acerbic asides from the Cockroach, this performance takes a hard look at the people and places who really run the country, and what we can do to take back our power for the commons – there is no time to lose!
Camilla Cancantata is a composer and improviser who performs in a variety of settings. She is a co-founder of Footloose Arts, the Radnor Improvisers, and Fractofusus, and has worked on many community music projects as well as performing solo and playing with others.
This is a “pay what you can performance”. For more information click here.
Camilla’s most recent solo CD, ‘Songs for Interesting Times’ can be dowloaded here.
