Exploring skills in devising can really help unlock your creativity and imagination as an actor and also help to develop relaxation and confidence as a performer. Learn these easy devising and improv techniques and have more fun than is good for you with this stress free guide to devising, improv and creating new theatre.
Tutor Tracey Street has worked as a freelance director/deviser and acting/directing coach since 1996. She trained at the prestigious Dartington College of Arts and has created & directed over 70 productions (some award winning!) for a variety of theatres, theatre companies and festivals around the UK and Europe.
She began her professional career directing with Slovak director and Czech National Theatre director Martin Cicvak in London. This partnership was revived in 2011 where Tracey worked with Martin on a production of Taming of the shrew at The Czech National Theatre in Prague. She has trained actors & directors for the past 19 years at various drama schools, theatres (particularly The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry) and colleges. She is also a fully qualified teacher of adults in further and higher education, a holder of LAMDA Gold medal in Acting, an associate artist with The National Youth Theatre of GB and has previously worked as a theatre manager in the USA.
