“Stroke” by Dance Center Puls (Croatia)

Birmingham Fest is proud to present this piece all the way from Zagreb, Croatia.

“Stroke” is a dance production in the form of an introspective poetic bodily monologue. It is a sophisticated piece of poetry about pain, loss, and recollection. An extreme state of the body can produce its own personal time and space. To feel. To dance.

Stroke

Birmingham Fest is proud to present this piece all the way from Zagreb, Croatia.

“Stroke” is a dance production in the form of an introspective poetic bodily monologue. It is a sophisticated piece of poetry about pain, loss, recollection and dance.

We are not trying to hear our bodies, we only pretend to listen. We do not experience the feelings communicated by our bodies, although we pretend being engaged. The truth is we benumb the body and prevent it from expressing itself.

An extreme state of the body, caused by miniscule inner vibrations, can produce its own personal time and space. To feel. To dance.
