Birmingham’s newest venue which has only just opened its doors. The Birmingham Black Box is a vibrant hub committed to creating and hosting an array of performances. Housed in the listed Great Hampton Works building it looks striking from both the outside and inside.
The ethos of The Birmingham Black Box lies in its state-of-the-art facility, meticulously designed to be a canvas for creative expression. The performance space is a versatile playground, offering flexible seating arrangements, dynamic lighting configurations, and adaptable set designs. The performance area can either be a raised stage (6m by 4m) or on the flat.
The 125-140 seat venue – set out in cabaret style seating – hosts a variety of live performances, from plays to musicals, dance, live music, lectures, and more. It is also available as rehearsal space.
