The Medieval Mystery Plays have been performed throughout history from medieval times when the different scenes were performed on carts and taken round the town stopping to perform at various places. Each play was performed by a different Guild – for example, the Nail makers would do the crucifixion, the bread makers would do the feeding of the 5,000 and so on.
